Final Day for Bookings: November 5, 2026

A three-day intermediate sailing course on a Class 40 yacht for sailors who already have some experience and want to build confidence, boat handling, and teamwork. Starting with Sydney Harbour sailing and moving into an overnight coastal sailing experience, this programme develops real skills in a safe, supportive setting.

This intermediate sailing course is designed for sailors who already know the basics and are ready to step up. Over three days, you will build confidence on a Class 40 yacht through a mix of Sydney Harbour sailing, an overnight coastal passage, and practical coaching focused on teamwork, safety, and performance.

Day one is about sharper boat handling and control. You will revisit safety and core systems, improve steering accuracy, practise coordinated tacks and gybes, work on sail trim, and learn how to manage sail changes with more confidence. You will also begin planning for the overnight passage ahead.

Day two takes those skills beyond the harbour and into a real overnight sailing experience. You will review safety, weather, and passage planning, then move into watch routines, night sailing, traffic awareness, and leadership within your watch team. It is a valuable step for sailors wanting to progress from day sailing into more advanced coastal and offshore conditions.

By day three, the focus shifts to offshore performance and personal development. You will practise sail changes at sea, improve steering to wind angles, understand ballast and boat balance, build confidence in reefing, and develop stronger situational awareness, fatigue management, and structured watch handovers. The programme finishes with rest, recovery, and a one-on-one debrief to help map your next step.

This is a strong next move for anyone looking for an intermediate sailing course in Sydney, a coastal sailing course, or a practical pathway toward more advanced offshore sailing.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
