Learn from World Class Skipper Sharon Ferris-Choat

I wanted to learn offshore and keelboat racing properly. Sharon taught me patiently, from every rope to every sail function, and she gave me real opportunities to practise my bow work and in the pit. That experience boosted my confidence for future racing.Lily (Lijia Xu), January 2026

I recently joined the 400 NM delivery of Vixen Racing from the Gold Coast to Sydney and had an amazing time offshore. Learning from Sharon was incredibly special, and one of the biggest things I took away was confidence in myself. I would absolutely recommend a race, delivery, or regatta with Sharon and Deb. It is a fantastic experience on a very cool boat, with so much to learn.Jess, July 2026

This is not for beginners or people who only want to do cruising. The boat is fast, the living is rough, and you must be ready for simple bunks and getting wet. But if your goal is competitive racing, Vixen helps you upgrade quickly.Lily (Lijia Xu), January 2026

I recently sailed from Southport to Sydney on Vixen and I am still buzzing from the experience. I learned so much from the team on board, especially about reading the sails and helming in a swell. I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to grow their offshore sailing knowledge.Chloe, June 2026
